# How to add Countdown Timer to Popups?

Countdown popups are effective in driving the urgency for one-time-only sales, daily discounts, long weekend discounts, and more. 

In this article, let me guide you to create a Countdown popup on your store or simply add Countdown timer to your current popup.
Let's get started!

## Create Countdown Popup with an available template


### Step 1: Create a Countdown popup

Log in to the AVADA > Select **Forms** > Select **Create**.

Select Template **Countdown Light theme** or **Countdown Dark theme** > Click **Select Template**.

### Step 2: Edit countdown timer

Click on countdown timer in preview or in the left menu.

Select the type of countdown you want to display. **Dynamic Timer** and **Fixed Timer** are now available.

- **Dynamic Timer**: The timer starts from the moment a person views your popup. It is unique to every visitor. In other words, timer will start again for each visitor. 

Select **Dynamic Timer** > Enter information for Days, Hours, Minutes, Seconds.

- **Fixed Timer**: The timer is counted down to a particular moment. It is idential for all visitors on your site. 

Select **Fixed Timer** > Select the end time.

- **Unit Labels**: Enter information for the labels displayed at countdown.

- **Font & Alignment**: Select the font displayed at countdown.

- **Style**

* **Background Color**: Select the background color for the countdown.
* **Number Color**: Select the color of the numbers on countdown.
* **Number Size**: Select the size of the numbers on countdown.
* **Unit Label Color**: Select the color of the unit labels on countdown.
* **Unit Label Size**: Select the size of the unit labels on countdown.
* **Show Separator**: Select **Show/Hidden** to display/hide the separator at countdown.
* **Separator Color**: Select the color for the separator on countdown.
* **Separator Size**: Select the size for the separator on countdown.
* **Border Color**: Select the color for the border on countdown.
* **Radius**: Adjust the radius of the countdown boxes.

After editing the countdown, click **Save** to save the information.

## Add countdown timer to existing popup

### Step 1: Create a new popup or open an existing popup

To create new popup, log in to the AVADA  > Select **Forms** > Select **Create** > Select 1 Template to create a new popup
To open an existing popup, go to **Forms** > Select a existing popup > Select **Design**.

### Step 2: Add & edit Countdown

At the **Design** screen > Select **Add Components** > Select **Countdown**.

You can optionally use **Dynamic Timer** or **Fixed Timer**. You can refer to the details of the 2 types of countdown and how to edit the information at the Step 2 in Part 1 above.
