How to Remove SMS Consent from a Profile

Overview



It is essential to regularly clean your list to remove unengaged recipients. Continuously sending SMS messages to someone who no longer has interest in them can result in spam complaints and impact your deliverability. In order to unsubscribe someone from SMS, you have to remove consent from their profile. After doing so, you won't be able to message them again until they opt back in.

In this guide, we will show you how to manually remove SMS consent from an AVADA profile.






Navigate to the Audiences section from the dashboard. Click the recipient that you want to remove SMS consent for.

Step 2. Change the status



On the right-hand side, click the Actions icon and choose Change status.



Step 3. Complete



Click Unsubscribe from SMS, and you're done.



You will then see the color of SMS turn to light orange, which indicates that they are no longer consented to receive your SMS messages, as shown in the image below.
