How to configure your Yahoo Mail SMTP?

Step 1: Create a new Yahoo Mail account.



The interface of Yahoo is pretty similar to Gmail’s, so if you still want one to take an A/B testing, go to https://mail.yahoo.com/d and sign in a new account.



Note down those SMTP credential of Yahoo mail
Server - smtp.mail.yahoo.com
Port - 465 or 587
Requires SSL - Yes
Requires TLS - Yes (if available)
Requires authentication - Yes

Step 2: Get your app password


Go to your Yahoo Account > Account Security > Generate and manage app passwords



Copy your app password



Step 3: Go to App > Settings > Email > Enable Custom SMTP





Step 4: Enter your Yahoo SMTP information


Host: smtp.mail.yahoo.com
Port: 465
Authentication: Login
Your Yahoo account and your app password



Step 5: Click Verify Config button, then enter sender and recipient address and click Verify now





If you enter correct information, a success message will be shown like this:



Congrats! Now you can create your campaigns and start sending emails!

Important notes:

- Only use verified senders from SMTP server to send emails, otherwise, your email will go to spam box.
- Using SMTP will not count statistic such as Open, Bounces or Spam report.
